MY GAL SAL

In 1942, while making the cross to England, B-17 My Gal Sal crash landed in Greenland, due to severe weather. The crew survived but My Gal Sal was left behind.  Decades later, she was found and eventually restored to her original condition.

These photos are from a recent trip to the National WWII Museum of New Orleans, Louisiana. I highly recommend you make this journey.
